Valentines

You were absolutely lovely tonight, stunning even. So much so, I very nearly walked myself right into a social faux pas. Maybe… beyond nearly, lol. I aborted a soon as I realized, but you have to understand… I had eyes only for you. I saw that you were talking, but I guess I had tunnel vision… I assumed you were talking to… I assumed waltzing in wouldn't be a problem. It wasn't until I was almost close enough to touch you that I even noticed that I didn't recognize a single one of the people in your little circle.

I sort of hope you didn't see me, but I have a very, very hard time believing that's the case. Lol. Oh well.

We'll get a chance to talk, I know we will. But I guess tonight wasn't it… and that's fine.

Even if I had a secret little fantasy to get to whisper in your ear that yes, I would be your valentine… that I have always been your valentine…
